DaRon McGee is a proud lifelong resident of Jackson County. He grew up in South Kansas City and graduated from Grandview High School. He received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and completed a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the Harry S. Truman School of Public Affairs, University of Missouri. DaRon served as the program administrator for Jackson County COMBAT, an award-winning anti-drug and anti-violence program. He’s a strong advocate for law enforcement, drug prevention and treatment programs, and public safety initiatives.
DaRon served in the Missouri House of Representatives for two terms and was elected Assistant Democratic Leader. DaRon currently serves as President of the Hickman Mills School Board. DaRon is a member of the Board of Directors of the Whole Person Daron is a member of The NAACP and Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church. DaRon will be a strong voice in the County Legislature and will stand up for Kansas City and Grandview. DaRon will work for you! He will advocate for safe and vibrant neighborhoods, fair assessments of our property values, and the best schools for our children.
