DaRon is a lifelong resident of South Kansas City and a life-long Democrat. He grew up in the Stratford Estates and graduated from Grandview High School. He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and completed a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the Harry S. Truman School of Public Affairs, University of Missouri. DaRon served as the program administrator for Jackson County COMBAT, an award-winning anti-drug and anti-violence program. He’s a strong advocate for law enforcement, drug prevention and treatment programs, and public safety initiatives. DaRon served in the Missouri House of Representatives for 2 terms and was elected Assistant Democratic Leader. DaRon currently serves as President of the Hickman Mills School Board. Mr. McGee currently works as the Community Relations Manager for Swope Health in Kansas City. DaRon is a member of the Board of Directors of the Whole Person and the Community Assistance Council. Daron is a member of The NAACP and Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church. DaRon will be a strong voice in the County Legislature and will stand up for economic growth and safe neighborhoods in Kansas City and Grandview.
